Nickel-Chrome-Molybdenum Hastelloy Wire Mesh
Hastelloy wire mesh is a high-performance material woven from wires made of Hastelloy alloys. Hastelloy is the trademarked name for a group of superalloys primarily composed of Nickel, Molybdenum, and Chromium.
Hastelloy alloy are mainly divided into three categories:
B series (resistant to reducing media)

Key Properties of the Hastelloy wire mesh:
Superior Corrosion Resistance: This is the primary feature. It offers outstanding resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking, and oxidizing atmospheres. It performs exceptionally well against hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, and seawater.
High-Temperature Stability: It maintains its strength and resists oxidation and scaling even at very high temperatures (up to about 2000°F or 1093°C, depending on the specific grade).
Strength and Durability: It is much stronger than standard stainless steel meshes, allowing it to withstand high flow rates, pressure differentials, and mechanical stress.
Long Service Life: Due to its resistance to degradation, components made from Hastelloy mesh often last significantly longer than those made from lower-grade alloys.
Common Applications of the hastelloy wire mesh (Because of its chemical resistance, Hastelloy mesh is often used where stainless steel (like 304 or 316) would fail).
Chemical Processing: Catalyst supports, distillation columns, filtration of corrosive fluids and gases, and reactor linings.
Pharmaceutical Industry: For fine chemical filtration where purity is critical and aggressive solvents are used.
Aerospace and Defense: In filtration systems for fuels and hydraulic fluids, and as flame arrestors.
Pollution Control: In flue gas desulfurization systems (scrubbers) to filter acidic exhaust.
Marine Applications: For seawater filtration and components exposed to salt spray.
Food Processing: Specifically in the processing of acidic foods like citrus or tomato products.
