Raney Nickel Expanded Mesh Electrode

Raney Nickel Expanded Mesh Electrode, also refered to the raney nickel coated nickel expanded mesh, it is a basic nickel expanded mesh with Plasm Spraying Raney-Ni powders, Then the nickel aluminum alloy is reacted with concentrated sodium hydroxide solution, and most of the aluminum will dissolve, leaving behind many micropores, resulting in a three-dimensional porous structure on the surface of the nickel mesh. The adsorption surface area is greatly increased, which brings higher catalytic activity and improves the efficiency of hydrogen production by water electrolysis.

Basic Structure: Ni200/Ni201 Nickel expanded mesh

Hole shape: Diamond

Hole size: 2mmx4mm 3mmx5mm 4mmx6mm...or custom

Thickness: 0.3mm 0.4mm 0.5mm 0.8mm

Surface treatment: Flattened + Raney nickel coating

Quality requirements of Raney Nickel Expanded Metal Mesh:

1. Using raw materials, the mixture ratio of nickel and aluminum in the raw materials is 8:2, with a nickel purity of 99.5% and an aluminum purity of 99.6%.

2. Sandblasting treatment should be carried out before spraying to ensure the adhesion strength of the coating.

3. Coating thickness and weight: 240g/m ² - 300g/m ², evenly sprayed, with full inspection records.

4. Require that the coating does not peel off when the nickel mesh is bent 120 degrees.

5. Appearance inspection:  (A). Non sprayed surfaces must not show high-temperature discoloration, and the mesh surface must not have coating peeling or surface burning. (B) The sprayed mesh surface should be kept flat with an overall deformation of less than 5mm.  (C) The coating should be uniform, without serious creases or damage.
