Pure Molybdenum wire mesh

Pure Molybdenum(Mo) wire mesh is woven with high-purity molybdenum wire. It has high melting point(6th highest melting point of all elements), good high-temperature strength, low thermal expansion and excellent electrical/thermal conductivity, widely used in high-temperature furnaces, vacuum and semiconductor industries.

Key Properties of pure mo wire mesh:

Melting Point: 2623°C (4753°F)

Continuous service temperature (vacuum / H₂ / inert gas): up to 1800°C

Density: 10.2 g/cm³ (about half that of tungsten)

Tensile Strength: High, with good strength retention up to ~1800°C

Thermal Conductivity: Excellent (about twice that of stainless steel)

High elastic modulus & good creep resistance at high temperature

Low vapor pressure, suitable for vacuum environment

Good corrosion resistance to many molten metals

Non-magnetic

Common Applications

Furnace Heating Elements: Used as resistance heating elements in vacuum furnaces for sintering, brazing, and heat treating.

Heat Shields (Radiation Shields): Used in multiple layers to contain heat within the hot zone of a furnace, improving energy efficiency.

Ion Implantation Grids: In semiconductor manufacturing, high-purity molybdenum grids are used in ion implanters.

High-Temperature Filtration: Filtering molten metals (e.g., aluminum, zinc) and aggressive molten salts.

Aerospace: Components in rocket nozzles and thrusters where high heat resistance is required.

Glass Processing: Supports and stirrers for molten glass.

Sapphire Growth Furnaces: Used in the production of synthetic sapphire for LEDs and watch crystals.
